INDICATIONS:
Oxyclozanide belongs to the salicylanides group of chemicals. Oxyclozanide is primarily effective against liver-flukes when administered orally in cattle. H-Oxyco 2700 is indicated for the treatment chronic fascioliasis (fasciola hepatica and F. gigantic) in cattle caused by both mature and immature flukes.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
It is given orally.
CATTLE:
10mg per kg body weight, ie 1bolus per 270kg body weight. In immature amphistomiasis increase
the dose to 15mg per kg body weight.
SIDE EFFECTS:
At the recommended dose there are practically no side effects except that some animals may show
slight loss of appetite which is transitory. In lactating animals there may be a slight drop in milk for
1-2days only. Softening of faces or diarrhea may occur.
WITHDRAWEL
Meat: 7 days. Milk: 2 days.
